Cloud Service provider

Like many other small companies, Sharp Show Bling uses a cloud service provider. A cloud service provider is an organization that offers access to web- based resources or assets for purchase. Those assets could include web- based storage and applications (Google, n.d.).
Amazon web services is the cloud service provider chosen for Sharp Show Bling. Amazon has become an industry leader in cloud services, along with Alibaba, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. The need for cloud services exploded post- Covid due to the need for people to work from home. Amazon is considered to be a “hyperscaler” due to the services offered. Amazon has become an industry leader due to the elite services it offers. Amazon Web Services has many tools, including databases, analytical tools, security tools, cloud-based products, developer tools, management tools, and enterprise applications (Valishery, 2024).
Amazon offers many web- based tools. One category of resources is analytical tools. Amazon offers a great search service known as Amazon Cloudsearch. Amazon DataZone is a tool that allows companies to organize data. Amazon EMR Serverless is a tool company can use that have all the benefits of a server without needing a professional to configure a server (Free cloud computing…, n.d.).
Amazon web services can also be used for security of an organizations data. One tool offered by Amazon is the AWS firewall manager. Settings for the firewall can be established through Amazon across multiple accounts. AWS Key management services is a tool where encryption keys can be created and maintained to protect company data. The use of those encryption keys can also be track for security purposes (Free cloud computing…, n.d.).
Another type of tool offered by Amazon is data storage. Amazon S3 Glacier offers a cost effective option for data that is not accessed very often. Amazon S3 is a data storage tool that makes data accessible and secure. Amazon web services back up is a tool that can backs up data and ensures data can be accessed if the primary location fails (Free cloud computing…, n.d.)
